About this role

A walker in Dunfermline has already set up on WoofWalk, and Edinburgh across the bridge has sent us a lot of applicants. Dunfermline owners who are away still need someone in the house, so we are looking for three self-employed pet sitters, with one able to cover Rosyth, Inverkeithing and the coast. This is not the walking advert.

The work is to look after a dog in the owner's own home. That may be a daily visit, a few nights, or a week of holiday cover. You follow the routine they leave, feed the dog, give medication where needed, let it out, take it for a walk, give it company and send a daily update.

There is a licence rule in Scotland. Having dogs stay at your own house is home boarding, and the council must licence you before you take one. The app lists that as a separate service. Visits and sitting at the owner's home are outside the rule.

Money, and who is who. You work for yourself, and we are the booking app owners use. We employ nobody, pay no wage and do not promise work. The price for a visit or a night is your decision. Payments go through the app and out to your bank. You will handle tax, National Insurance and insurance for yourself. We have no Dunfermline sitting prices, so we quote none.

Joining costs nothing, and for 14 days neither does commission. Thereafter WoofWalk takes 15% of each booking. Five clients of your own joining through you brings 10% for life, and clients you bring yourself pay 10% from day one.

Over 18. On Find a Job, say what you can reach around Dunfermline and whether you can sleep over.
