About this role
A few Cheshire walkers across the border are the nearest WoofWalk people to Wrexham, so a sitter here would be among the first. We want three self-employed pet sitters: one for the town, one for Gresford and the north and one for Rhos and the villages to the west. We are not asking for walkers. Sitting means looking after a dog at the owner's house.
The owner is away
on holiday, on a work trip, in hospital. You come to the house for a visit or two a day, or stay the night, and follow their routine. Feeding, medication, toilet breaks, a walk, company, then an update to the owner every day.
You would charge your own prices for a visit and a night. WoofWalk pays no wage, as it is a booking app and not an employer, and it makes no promise of work. Owners pay through the app, and WoofWalk then pays you out to your bank. You settle tax, National Insurance and insurance of your own. We hold no sitting price for Wrexham.
If you thought of having dogs stay in your own home, that is home boarding. In Wales it needs a council licence first, and the app lists it as a separate service. You need no licence for sitting in the owner's house.
Joining is free, and the first 14 days are commission-free. After that it is 15% of each booking, falling to 10% for life when five of your own clients have joined through you. Your own recruits pay 10% from their first booking.
Over 18. Apply on Find a Job, saying which parts of Wrexham and the surrounding villages you can reach and whether overnights suit you.
