About this role

What skills and experience we're looking for

We are seeking passionate, innovative and values-driven practitioners to join our Teaching, Learning and Assessment team as Advanced Practitioners (Inclusion).

These roles have been created through the Inclusive Mainstream Fund (IMF) and represent a significant investment in strengthening inclusive practice across the college. As a result, these positions are offered on a fixed-term basis for three years.

As part of our ambitious commitment to ensuring that every learner can achieve, belong and thrive, Advanced Practitioner’s will play a key role in developing the confidence, capability and effectiveness of teaching staff in meeting the needs of learners with SEND, neurodiverse learners and those facing additional barriers to learning.

Working in partnership with curriculum teams, managers and support staff, you will provide specialist coaching, mentoring and professional development that strengthens inclusive teaching practice, promotes high-quality adaptive teaching, and helps ensure that all learners can access, participate in and succeed within a mainstream learning environment.

About the Role

The college currently employs Teaching and Learning Coaches who support the development of excellent teaching practice across curriculum areas. The Advanced Practitioner role complements and extends this model through a dedicated focus on inclusion, adaptive teaching and learner support.

The successful candidates will work collaboratively with teachers and curriculum leaders to identify barriers to learning, model effective inclusive strategies, provide developmental coaching, evaluate the impact of interventions on learner engagement and deliver intervention sessions to identified groups of learners. They will contribute to the continuous improvement of teaching, learning and assessment by promoting evidence-informed approaches and supporting the implementation of the college's inclusive teaching and learning strategy.

This is an exciting opportunity for experienced practitioners with a strong understanding of SEND, inclusive pedagogy and effective professional development to influence practice across the organisation and make a lasting difference to the educational experiences and outcomes of our learners.

Why Join Us?

This is an exciting opportunity to play a leading role in shaping inclusion across the college. You will have the chance to influence teaching and learning at scale, work alongside talented colleagues, and make a tangible difference to the lives and outcomes of young people.

If you are passionate about inclusion and believe every learner deserves the opportunity to succeed, we would love to hear from you.
