About this role

We are seeking to appoint an excellent teacher who will take an integral role in ensuring our transition supports every child succeed as they enter the school community. Ensuring transition from primary is a positive and supported experience is key to ensuring a young person is successful throughout their time in secondary.

With a range of expertise within the current pastoral team and we are looking to both strengthen and add to this. The successful candidate would have a reduced teaching load. We are not seeking any specific subject specialism, but a practitioner who is able to teach across the curriculum, working specifically with students working below their peers. This role is open to individuals with experience in Key Stage 2, 3 and 4 teaching, and would be ideal for someone who has had experience of leadership within a year group or pastoral roles. Ideally, we are seeking a trained primary teacher who has experience of delivering phonics, numeracy and other core skills required to be successful across subjects.

Whilst the successful candidate would take on the role of Year Leader from Easter, we are seeking a candidate that would have the capacity, and interest, to develop transition across our locality, considering curriculum and pastoral projects in coming years. Enabling professional growth is crucial to enabling all to flourish and, in turn, enables fresh perspectives and ideas to grow within a consistent, supportive and nurturing team.
