About Dimensions

At Dimensions, you'll find more than a job - You'll find purpose, belonging, and the support to thrive. Your voice matters, your wellbeing is prioritised, and your growth is celebrated. Together, we make a real difference - for the people we support and for you.

Thanks to our amazing teams, Dimensions Group has been accredited as a Great Place to Work for 2026 — our eighth consecutive year of recognition.

About the role

Join our friendly and established team at Lynton Terrace in Llanrumney, Cardiff, where you'll be supporting three wonderful people to live the lives they choose.

The people we support have been living together for many years and share a warm, welcoming home with a fantastic team around them. Each person has their own personality, interests and goals, making every day varied, rewarding and full of opportunities to build meaningful relationships.

You'll be supporting one gentleman and two ladies, all in their 50s, who have learning disabilities, and cerebral palsy. Support is personalised to each individual and includes assisting with daily living, personal care, communication and helping people access the activities they love.

One gentleman is a real people person with a brilliant sense of humour and loves spending time chatting, enjoying family visits, heading out with friends and going for drives. If you enjoy positive banter and can keep up with a great sense of humour, you'll fit right in!

One of the ladies enjoys getting out and about on buses, listening to music, completing puzzles, attending pottery classes and meeting up with family. She also enjoys visits to the pub and treating herself to a little pampering.

The other lady has a creative side and loves attending art classes, meeting friends, going on holidays, spending time with family and enjoying scenic drives. She's a fan of sitting down with a good cuppa and getting to know people, and you'll have the opportunity to learn her unique communication style and support her to express herself.

This is a hands-on support role where you'll also provide support with personal care, mobility assistance and eating and drinking support. You'll use specialist equipment including hoists, wheelchairs and adapted vehicles, and support people with modified diets and communication needs, including individual sign language.

Shifts

Long days - 8am - 7pm / 10am, sleep In, 10am, Including weekends and bank holidays.

About you

You're someone who sees the person first and believes everyone deserves the opportunity to live a full, independent and meaningful life. Kind, patient and reliable, you'll enjoy building genuine relationships and supporting people in a way that reflects their individual personalities, choices and goals.

You'll be confident communicating with a range of people, including those who don't use words to communicate, and be willing to learn different communication styles to ensure everyone has a voice. A positive attitude, good sense of humour and ability to engage in friendly banter will help you build strong connections, particularly with people who love social interaction and companionship.

You'll be comfortable providing personal care and supporting people with complex physical needs, including using mobility equipment such as hoists, wheelchairs and adapted vehicles. Experience isn't essential as full training will be provided, but you'll need to be willing to learn and follow support plans confidently and safely.

We're looking for someone who is adaptable, observant and able to remain calm when situations change. You'll enjoy being active, getting out into the community and supporting people to attend appointments, hobbies, family visits and social activities.
