Pay Rates

Monday to Friday

• £17.00 per hour PAYE
• £19.05 per hour PAYE (including rolled-up holiday pay)

Saturday

• £18.00 per hour PAYE
• £20.17 per hour PAYE (including rolled-up holiday pay)

Sunday & Bank Holidays

• £19.00 per hour PAYE
• £21.29 per hour PAYE (including rolled-up holiday pay)

Drivers can choose between accruing holiday pay separately or receiving rolled-up holiday pay as part of their hourly rate.

About the Role

Pure Staff are currently recruiting for an experienced

HGV Class 2 Day Driver to work with one of our long-standing clients within the palletised distribution industry. This is an ongoing opportunity offering regular work, excellent rates of pay and the chance to secure a long-term position with a well-established transport operation in the Gloucester area.

The successful

HGV Class 2 Day Driver will be responsible for delivering and collecting palletised freight while maintaining high standards of customer service and professionalism.

Duties and Responsibilities

As an

HGV Class 2 Day Driver, you will be responsible for

• Delivering and collecting palletised goods to commercial customers
• Completing 5-10 deliveries and collections per shift
• Conducting daily vehicle checks and defect reporting
• Ensuring all deliveries are completed safely and on time
• Securing loads correctly and adhering to all transport legislation
• Completing delivery paperwork accurately
• Communicating with the transport office throughout the day
• Providing a professional level of customer service
• Carrying out handball when required
• Maintaining compliance with Driver Hours and Working Time regulations

Shift Pattern

• Monday to Friday
• 07:00 starts
• Typical shifts between 8 and 12 hours
• Ongoing work available
• Optional overtime shifts available
• Weekend work available when required

Requirements

To be considered for this

HGV Class 2 Day Driver role, you will require

• Category C (Class 2) Driving Licence
• Valid Driver CPC Qualification Card
• Digital Tachograph Card
• Good knowledge of Driver Hours regulations
• Previous multi-drop driving experience desirable
• Ability to carry out manual handling duties
• Professional and reliable attitude
• Strong communication and customer service skills
