About this role

Blake Morgan is one of the UK's leading full-service law firms, with a strong national presence and a well-established reputation for delivering high quality advice to private and public sector clients. We advise across a broad range of commercial, regulatory and public sector disputes, including complex commercial litigation, procurement disputes, contractual claims, governance-related disputes and litigation involving public bodies and organisations operating in regulated environments.

This opportunity is focused on strengthening our public sector litigation capability, with a particular emphasis on work connected to the Welsh public sector and clients with significant procurement, commercial contracting, governance and dispute resolution requirements.

Joining us means joining a collaborative and ambitious litigation practice with high quality work, able colleagues and the infrastructure to support further practice development in Cardiff, Wales and across the wider firm.

The Role

This is an opportunity for an established Partner, Legal Director or senior lawyer with a credible route to partnership to take a leading role in the development of our public sector litigation offering. We are particularly interested in individuals who can bring depth of experience in procurement litigation and disputes involving public bodies. The successful candidate will play a key role in growing work connected to Welsh public bodies, advising on contentious procurement, contractual disputes, governance-related disputes and strategically important litigation. You will be expected to lead client relationships, contribute to business development and help build a distinctive public sector litigation practice from a Cardiff base.
