Afterschool Nanny needed in Islington, Job ID J22D5C

A family based in Islington, North London, is looking for an experienced, proactive, and academically supportive Part-Time Afterschool Nanny to care for their two children, aged 7 and 9 years old. The ideal candidate will have fluent English, strong organizational skills, and a proven ability to support older primary-aged children—particularly with 11+ exam preparation for the eldest child.

A valid first aid qualification is required for this position.

Working hours

3 days per week (flexible, but ideally Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays) from 15:00 to 19:00 (3:00 PM to 7:00 PM), totalling 12 to 15 hours per week.

Duties include

collecting the children from school and ensuring their safety and well-being

providing dedicated homework assistance and supporting the children's educational growth, including helping the eldest child prepare for their 11+ exams

engaging the children in interactive play, educational activities, and outdoor outings such as park visits

establishing and maintaining consistent daily routines to support structure and development

preparing and serving nutritious meals and snacks tailored specifically to the children

handling child-related housekeeping, keeping the children's bedrooms and play areas clean, organised, and tidy

The family is looking for someone who can start in November 2026.
