About this role

The successful candidate will join an established team of consultant, scientific and technical staff to support the diagnosis and management of haematological malignancies. HODS is a UKAS-accredited SIHMDS which acts as the primary referral centre in East Anglia for patients with known or suspected haematological malignancies. The service works closely with the East Genomic Laboratory Hub on site at Cambridge University Hospitals. Strong links also exist with the multiple Cambridge University research groups working on haematological malignancies. Applicants should have competence in reporting haematopathology specimens including bone marrow trephine biopsies, lymph node biopsies and other relevant solid tissue samples; experience of multimodality haematopathology testing including molecular assays; and an interactive approach to working with clinical, laboratory and academic colleagues. Please refer to the Job description and Person specification attached for further details on the main responsibilities and duties for this post.
