Are you looking for your next leadership challenge? We are seeking two enthusiastic and motivated Team Managers to lead our specialist Perinatal Mental Health Teams, supporting women and families during pregnancy and up to two years after birth. This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly regarded multidisciplinary service and make a real difference to the lives of mothers, babies and families.
As Team Manager, you will provide visible leadership to a multidisciplinary team, ensuring high-quality, safe and effective care. You will oversee team performance, workforce planning, governance, quality improvement, safeguarding, risk management and staff development, while working closely with internal and external partners across health and social care.
We are looking for someone who is passionate about patient care, values collaborative working, and can inspire teams to deliver outstanding services. In return, we offer a unique development opportunity within a specialist service, access to experienced perinatal professionals and the chance to contribute to ongoing service innovation across Birmingham and Solihull.
If you are an aspiring or established leader looking for a rewarding challenge, we would love to hear from you.
Our current opportunities are within the Solihull Perinatal Team based at Maple Leaf Centre, and the West Perinatal Team based in Ashcroft.
The Team Manager will provide operational, professional and clinical leadership to a specialist multidisciplinary Perinatal Mental Health Team, ensuring the delivery of safe, effective and high-quality care for women, babies and families during pregnancy and up to two years postnatally. They will be responsible for overseeing referrals, caseload management, risk management, safeguarding, care coordination and service performance, ensuring care is delivered in line with national guidance and Trust standards.
The post holder will lead and support a diverse team of professionals, promoting a positive culture of learning, supervision, staff wellbeing and continuous improvement. They will manage workforce planning, recruitment, appraisal, attendance and performance processes, while ensuring appropriate use of resources and maintaining quality standards.
Working closely with maternity services, primary care, health visiting, social care and other partner agencies, the Team Manager will foster strong collaborative relationships to ensure joined-up care for women and their families. They will contribute to clinical governance, service development, audits, quality improvement initiatives and the implementation of national and local priorities.
