Warehouse Operative/Van Driver

We are recruiting for a

Warehouse Operative/Van Driver to join our team at our client's busy logistics operation based in

Uddingston.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established and fast-paced Warehouse team, supporting deliveries and warehouse activities within a small, friendly group.

This role is ideal for individuals looking to combine their experience in van driving and warehouse positions, who are comfortable working with IT systems.

This is a full-time day shift position working weekdays, Monday to Friday, 7am-4pm with no weekends required. The pay for this role is £13.80 per hour, paid weekly.

Your Time at Work

As a Warehouse Operative, your duties will include

• Driving company van up to 4 times per week
• Delivery scheduling & query handling
• Dealing with the clients face to face & on the phone
• Loading and unloading vehicles
• Assisting team members with picking, packing, and processing tasks to increase overall warehouse efficiency
• Complying with workplace health and safety measures to minimize operational risk
• Stock management, replenishment, and rotation
• Occasional travel to other sites in Glenrothes/Dundee for holiday cover may also be required (transport will be provided for this).

Our Perfect Worker

• Our perfect worker will be good at timekeeping and have strong customer service skills.
• You must also need to be IT literate, in order to use the systems and devices on site.
• Warehouse Operatives will be flexible and must hold a full clean UK Driving License.
• Experience in a similar role is required.
• Some heavy lifting might be involved in this role, (2-man lift, maximum 25kg).

Key Information and Benefits

• Full time role
• £13.80 per hour, paid weekly
• 5 days per week, weekdays only (no weekends required)
• Rota shifts of 7am - 4pm with 2 x 15 minute breaks and 1 x 30 minute break
• Some days may be warehouse based all day, somedays may be van driving all day - the right candidate will need to be flexible on this.
