The Best Connection is currently recruiting for an experienced

Class 1 (C+E) Steel Driver on behalf of a well-established transport operator. This is an excellent

12-week temp-to-perm opportunity for drivers with steel haulage experience who are looking for long-term, stable employment.

Pay & Benefits

• £20.00 per hour
• £26.00 night out allowance
• 12-week temp-to-perm opportunity
• Weekly pay
• Ongoing, full-time work
• Immediate starts available

The Role

• Delivering steel products nationwide
• Safely securing and transporting steel loads
• Conducting daily vehicle checks and reporting any defects
• Completing delivery paperwork accurately and efficiently
• Ensuring compliance with driver hours and road transport regulations
• Regular nights out required during the week

Requirements

• Valid Class 1 (C+E) Licence
• Valid Driver CPC Qualification Card
• Digital Tachograph Card
• Previous steel haulage experience is essential
• Strong understanding of load security and safe loading practices
• Professional, reliable, and safety-conscious approach
• Maximum of 6 penalty points for minor offences (no DD, DR, or IN convictions)
