The Best Connection Employment Group is recruiting on behalf of one of our clients based in Andover, a leading steel stockholder and processor in the UK, providing a wide range of high-quality steel products.

Our client is seeking experienced HGV Class 2 Drivers to join their team, delivering steel products to various locations.

This is an excellent opportunity offering a 12-week temp-to-perm position from day one, with the potential for permanent employment for the right candidate.

Responsibilities of the

HGV Class 2 Driver

• Operate a Class 2 vehicle, delivering steel products to various locations.
• Secure loads safely using chains and other appropriate equipment.
• Carry out thorough pre- and post-operation vehicle inspections, including checking tyre pressures, fluid levels, safety equipment, gauges and controls.
• Follow assigned delivery schedules and instructions accurately.
• Communicate professionally with the transport office, dispatchers and colleagues to ensure deliveries are completed efficiently.
• Comply with all relevant health and safety policies and procedures.

Requirements of the

HGV Class 2 Driver

• Valid Category C driving licence.
• Valid Driver CPC qualification.
• Digital tachograph card.
• Proven experience using chains to secure loads.
• Ability to pass a drug and alcohol test.
• A strong commitment to safety and professional driving standards.
