Job Description and Person Specification

To act as the first point of contact for users of the service, and to proactively deal with telephone, email and in basket enquiries from patients, their Carers, GPs and colleagues in other hospitals in a professional and timely manner. Co-ordinate and schedule surgeries and pre and post surgical follow up appointments as designated by surgical team. To process new patient referrals within Trust and nationally agreed time frames, enabling compliance with quality standards for the diagnosis and treatment of cancer. Being able to prioritise. Demonstrate compassion and courtesy towards patients and their families. Provision of high quality patient care. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with all members of the team. Being able to be a team player.
