Trust Doctor

The Trust Doctor will work within Young Minds Matter (CAMHS), Navigo's specialist Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service, based at Freshney Green Primary Care Centre.

The Trust Doctor will

Undertake psychiatric assessments of children and young people. Conduct follow-up outpatient reviews. Participate in ADHD assessment pathways. Contribute to neurodevelopmental assessments. Assist in diagnostic formulation and treatment planning. Prescribe and monitor medication under consultant supervision where appropriate. Participate in MDT reviews. Attend case formulation meetings. Contribute to urgent assessments and risk reviews. Liaise with GPs, paediatricians, schools and partner agencies. Prepare clinical correspondence and reports. Participate in safeguarding activities. Contribute to Child Protection Conferences, Child in Need meetings and Strategy Meetings where appropriate. Participate in clinical audit and quality improvement projects. The Trust Doctor will work under the clinical supervision of the Consultant Psychiatrist and will not normally hold independent Responsible Clinician responsibility. The post holder will support the Consultant Psychiatrist and multidisciplinary team in providing assessment, diagnosis and treatment to children and young people with mental health and neurodevelopmental difficulties. The role provides an excellent opportunity for developing experience in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, ADHD assessment and management, neurodevelopmental disorders, safeguarding, multi-agency working and community CAMHS practice.
