recruiting for a

cnc machinist or cnc miller

who would report to the production manager.

Responsibilities for the cnc machinist or cnc miller

-

Setting up and operating 3-axis cnc milling machines.

-

Reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications.

-

Selecting appropriate tooling for job.

-

Working with quality team to ensure part-conformity and traceability.

-

Communicating any equipment needs with Engineering & Quality managers.

Key Skills required for the cnc machinist or cnc miller

-

Setting and operating cnc machines - preferably cnc milling machines

-

Ability to read engineering drawings and work to tight tolerances

-

Experience of 3 axis milling machining centers preferable but not essential

-

Ability to do basic editing cnc programs to suit need if required

-

Fanuc experience preferable but not essential

-

Using measuring tools - vernier and calipers

-

Ability to record information and communicate effectively with colleagues
