About this role

What skills and experience we're looking for

We are looking to appoint enthusiastic, dynamic and inspiring Careers Advisors to join our established Trust Careers Team to work across our academies, several of which offer post-16 education. The opportunity to join our existing team of Careers Advisors at a time of significant development in terms of careers education is an exciting one.

The role will primarily involve delivering the personal guidance interviews for all students across the Trust, working across different academies in either a Lincoln, or Southern Lincolnshire Hub. The role will also support the Strategic Careers Lead, Academy Careers Teams, and the Adult Education Team to deliver career-related learning, including work-related learning, employer and business encounters, and work experience. Additionally, the role will be involved in post-16 and post-18 application processes.

The successful candidate will have demonstrable experience of delivering careers guidance, preferably to school-age students. A QCF Level 6 Diploma in Careers Guidance or equivalent qualification is essential. The successful candidate will adhere to the CDI Code of Ethics, and accordingly the Trust will pay for CDI professional registration, and support meaningful and structured continuous professional development within the role.

Careers Advisors at the Priory Federation of Academies Trust are encouraged to have a varied portfolio, so whilst the role is primarily to deliver 1-1 careers appointments to students, there are opportunities to be involved in the wider careers education offer across the Academies and Trust. All Academies adhere to our Careers Policy, which ensures that there are no more than five appointments per Academy Day, of an hour long.
