About this role

At Booker, technology plays a vital role in keeping our business moving and supporting thousands of colleagues and customers across the UK. We're looking for an IT Senior Analyst - IT Security Compliance to help strengthen our technology controls, support compliance activities, and drive continuous improvement across our technology landscape.

Working as part of the Booker Technology team, you'll partner with colleagues across Technology, Cyber Security, and the wider business to ensure our processes, controls, and documentation are effective, robust, and fit for purpose. You'll play a key role in supporting compliance activities, improving control effectiveness, and helping teams demonstrate compliance through clear documentation, evidence gathering, and reporting.

This is a brilliant opportunity for someone who enjoys collaborating with stakeholders, solving problems, influencing positive change, and making a real impact in a growing technology function.

  • Support compliance with Booker's cyber security controls and governance framework.
  • Build strong relationships with technology and business stakeholders to embed effective controls and ways of working.
  • Create and maintain process documentation, including process narratives, flow diagrams and control documentation.
  • Support internal and external audit activities and help coordinate remediation and improvement plans.
  • Work with process owners and control owners to enhance the quality and effectiveness of controls.
  • Assist with evidence gathering, control testing and KPI reporting to measure compliance and control effectiveness.
  • Communicate findings, risks and recommendations clearly to a range of stakeholders.
  • Support the development of a sustainable, business-as-usual approach to compliance across the technology function.
  • Act as a trusted subject matter expert for internal controls and compliance-related activities.
  • Experience working in Risk, Compliance, Internal Controls, IT Governance, Cyber Security, or a related discipline.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build credibility and influence at all levels.
  • Experience documenting processes, controls, procedures or operational frameworks.
  • The ability to analyse information, identify issues and support effective solutions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience supporting change initiatives and driving continuous improvement.
  • A collaborative approach and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of internal and external partners.
