Multi Skilled Operative

Your new company

You'll be joining an established social housing provider responsible for maintaining a large portfolio of residential properties. They are looking to strengthen their maintenance team with an experienced Multi-Skilled Operative to support ongoing repairs, planned works and property improvements.

Your new role

As a Multi-Skilled Operative, you'll carry out a wide range of repairs and maintenance across occupied and void social housing properties. You'll be responsible for identifying issues, completing repairs efficiently and ensuring properties are left to a high standard.

Typical duties may include

• Joinery repairs including doors, frames, locks, skirting and kitchen units
• Basic plumbing and bathroom repairs
• Kitchen and bathroom maintenance
• Patch plastering and making good
• Wall and floor tiling
• Basic painting and decorating
• General property repairs and maintenance
• Working effectively in occupied homes while providing a professional service to tenants

What you'll need to succeed

You'll ideally have previous experience working within social housing, council housing or domestic property maintenance, with the ability to complete a variety of repairs without requiring additional trades.

You'll also need

• Strong experience across multiple trades
• Previous responsive repairs and maintenance experience
• Experience working within occupied and void properties
• Full UK driving licence
• Good fault-finding and problem-solving ability
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to manage your own workload and complete jobs to a high standard
