Consultant in HIV Medicine and Sexual Health – 56 Dean Street

Provide advice, screening, diagnosis and treatment of patients with STIs, including HIV infection. Participate in the local HIV multidisciplinary meeting at 56 Dean Street. Contribute to implementation of clinical pathways Provide consultant advice and support to multidisciplinary team working in HIV and GUM clinics. Review complex cases requiring senior input. Manage their own caseload of HIV patients. Provide supervision and support for nursing colleagues and junior medical colleagues providing management of stable patient cohorts, management of seroconversion, starting/switching treatment and management of complex or unwell patients. Work with colleagues to modernise the HIV care pathway to ensure effective use of resources. Develop a special interest clinic (e.g. Gender dysphoria, complex PrEP, anoscopy, chronic problem)
