This is an excellent opportunity for a multi-skilled or electrically biased engineer to join a well-established operation with a strong reputation, a modern manufacturing environment and a clear commitment to continued investment.
The engineering function plays a key role in maintaining operational reliability, driving improvements and supporting the introduction of new equipment and technology across the site.

Up to £49,120 per annum, including shift allowance + excellent benefits
Shift Pattern
4 on / 4 off, days & nights | 6am–6pm / 6pm–6am
The Role
As a Shift Engineer, you’ll work as part of a proactive engineering team, providing both reactive and planned maintenance support while identifying opportunities to improve equipment performance and reliability.
Your responsibilities will include
- Responding to breakdowns and carrying out effective fault finding and repairs.
- Completing planned preventative maintenance and identifying opportunities to improve its effectiveness.
- Investigating recurring issues and contributing to root cause analysis.
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the site.
- Assisting with the installation and commissioning of new equipment and capital projects.
- Working closely with production and engineering colleagues to minimise downtime.
- Providing clear handovers and sharing knowledge across shifts.
- Maintaining accurate maintenance records and job information.
- Ensuring all work is completed in line with relevant health, safety, quality and company standards.
What’s on Offer?
This is a site where engineers are encouraged to be proactive rather than simply reacting to problems as they arise.
You’ll have the opportunity to get involved in improvement projects, new equipment installations and ongoing investment, giving you genuine scope to broaden your experience and make a visible impact.
The business has a strong engineering culture, good levels of investment and a long-term focus on improving reliability and operational performance.
