About this role

We require a Nurse, Occupational Therapist or Social worker who can work independently, with the support of the team leaders and the wider crisis team clinicians and can bring their own professional expertise to a fast-paced team, and who are confident in managing risk in the least restrictive way. By its nature, crisis work requires professionals who have a broad range of skills including being skilled mental health assessors with a proven ability to signpost service users towards the most effective treatment pathways. The Crisis Clinician role is an important development in nursing care provision and is pivotal in helping us deliver safe and effective care to our patients. The successful applicants will participate in a duty rota of early, late or long day shifts covering 7 days a week and we are committed to supporting staff to balance home and work life. We are a friendly and supportive team with strong leadership and direction. Our work is interesting and varied with plenty of opportunities to learn new skills both in the workplace and via our excellent Learning & Development team. The role is predominantly based at Saffron House in High Wycombe and may require some wider travel within the county. We hope that the advert has given you a clear understanding of the skills we are seeking and the opportunity at hand. You will need to use the supporting statement element of your application form to demonstrate your suitability for this role and you should refer to the job description, person specification and the guidance notes attached to this role to help you tailor your application. The essential and desirable criteria will be used to shortlist for interview, and you should ensure that you refer to these within your application to increase your chances of being selected for interview. We kindly remind applicants that submissions should remain an honest and accurate representation of their experience and must take care to ensure the use of AI tools does not generate an application that does not accurately reflect their knowledge, skills and values.
