About this role
We're looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Senior Learning Support Assistant to play a key role in shaping the educational journey of young people with vision impairments in this term time only role.
This is a rewarding opportunity to combine leadership with hands-on support, leading a small team of Learning Support Assistants while working directly with students to help them succeed both academically and personally. Every day, you'll contribute to creating an inclusive and empowering learning environment where young people can grow in confidence, overcome barriers and prepare for independent adult life.
What you'll be doing
As a Senior Learning Support Assistant, you will
• Lead, support and develop a small team of Learning Support Assistants.
• Work closely with the Hub Manager to ensure a consistent, high-quality experience for students across our Orpington and Bromley provision.
• Empower students to develop their independence, confidence and learning skills.
• Build strong partnerships with college staff, therapists, families and external professionals to deliver the best possible outcomes.
• Monitor and record student progress, achievements and support plans.
• Ensure accessible learning resources are available when students need them.
• Act as a role model within the team, promoting best practice, collaboration and continuous improvement.
• Carry out Learning Support Assistant duties on a day-to-day basis.
