Service Advisor

We are recruiting on behalf of our client for a Service Advisor to join their reputable and expanding automotive business in Nottingham. This is a key role within a well-established company committed to delivering excellent customer service and maintaining high standards across their modern workshop facilities. The Service Advisor will play a vital part in ensuring customer satisfaction through efficient communication, high-quality service, and smooth operational flow.

Duties of a Service Advisor

• Greet customers and understand their vehicle servicing and repair needs
• Book customer vehicles into the workshop and manage appointments efficiently
• Provide timely updates to customers throughout the repair process
• Liaise effectively with technicians and workshop staff to ensure smooth operations
• Prepare accurate estimates and obtain customer authorisation for additional work
• Explain repairs and servicing requirements clearly to customers
• Handle customer queries professionally, resolving issues promptly
• Ensure all customer records and paperwork are correctly maintained
• Identify opportunities for additional services and explain these to customers
• Deliver a consistently high standard of customer service from start to finish

Requirements of a Service Advisor

• Previous experience as a Service Advisor or in a similar role within the automotive sector
• Strong communication skills and a customer-focused mindset
• Confident in dealing face-to-face and over the phone with customers
• Excellent organisational skills, capable of managing multiple priorities
• Well-versed in vehicle servicing and repair processes
• Professional attitude with a positive approach
• Good attention to detail and accurate administrative skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced workshop environment
