Overseeing a team of circa 40 employees across staff dining, a coffee shop and hospitality, you will be responsible for delivering an exceptional customer experience, maintaining high operational standards and driving financial performance.

This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive, people-focused leader to develop an established operation, with a particular focus on growing the hospitality offering, identifying new revenue opportunities and enhancing the overall food and service experience.

Main Responsibilities

  • Take full operational and commercial responsibility for the account, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, consistent and customer-focused services.
  • Drive financial performance, managing budgets, labour costs, food costs and profitability while maximising revenue opportunities.
  • Ensure exceptional standards of food quality, presentation, service and customer satisfaction across all areas of the operation.
  • Build strong relationships with the client and key stakeholders, acting as the primary point of contact and ensuring their expectations are consistently exceeded.
  • Introduce innovative food concepts, menus and service initiatives that enhance the customer experience and drive engagement.
  • Oversee recruitment, training, performance management and succession planning, fostering a positive and high-performing team culture.
  • Ensure full compliance with food safety, health and safety, allergen management and company policies and procedures.
  • Support the long-term development of the account, contributing ideas and initiatives that deliver sustainable growth and strengthen the client partnership.

Person Specification

  • Proven experience in an Account Manager or similar senior operational role within contract catering or a comparable hospitality environment.
  • Experience managing a multi-service catering operation, ideally encompassing staff dining, coffee shop and hospitality or events.
  • Demonstrable experience leading, motivating and developing large teams, with the ability to build a strong culture of accountability and engagement.
  • Strong commercial acumen, with experience managing budgets, controlling costs, maximising profitability and delivering financial targets.
  • A proactive, entrepreneurial approach, with the ability to identify and convert opportunities to grow hospitality revenue and develop new business.
  • A passion for food, service excellence and delivering an outstanding customer experience.
  • A hands-on leadership style, leading by example while empowering and developing the wider team.
