Ensure that standards are maintained and developed through clinical audit, evidence-based research and appraisal. Maintain personal professional development in accordance with the requirements of the Royal College and the General Medical Council. Participate in annual appraisal. Work in partnership with colleagues in the Dermatology Department. Work flexibly with colleagues to achieve the hospitals agreed planned activity for Dermatology out-patient services. Contribute to the development and maintenance of clinical protocols. Ensure that new techniques (outside ethically approved research projects) are only introduced after appropriate training, with approval of the relevant clinical directorates and with arrangements for evaluation and an audit trail.
