About this role

At SMT GB, we are committed to driving excellence in Quality, Environment, Safety, Health and Sustainability (QESH) across our business. As the exclusive Volvo Construction Equipment dealer in Great Britain, we continue to invest in innovation, sustainability and continuous improvement.

We're looking for a highly analytical and motivated QESH Co-ordinator to support our national QESH team based in Duxford, Cambridgeshire. This is an exciting opportunity for a graduate or early-career professional with a passion for sustainability, environmental performance, quality improvement and data-driven decision making.

Working closely with our QESH Manager, Health & Safety Manager, Fleet Manager and Quality Manager, you will play a key role in supporting business-wide initiatives, reporting performance indicators and driving continual improvement projects that positively impact our people, customers and the environment.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Gather, analyse and report QESH and ESG performance data across environmental, quality, fleet and health & safety activities.
  • Support reporting for key metrics including greenhouse gas emissions, energy consumption, waste, water usage, vehicle performance, customer complaints, incidents and quality defects.
  • Undertake research and analysis to identify opportunities for business improvement and operational efficiencies.
  • Develop data-driven business cases to support investment and continual improvement initiatives.
  • Assist in the design, implementation, monitoring and verification of QESH improvement projects.
  • Maintain QESH management systems and documentation to ensure accuracy, consistency and reporting integrity.
  • Produce content and communications for intranet updates, events, training programmes and awareness campaigns.
  • Support internal audits and external certification audits, including ISO 14001, ISO 50001, ISO 45001, ISO 9001 and FORS.

Analyse audit findings and performance trends to support ongoing improvement activities.

  • Support supplier management activities, procurement exercises and business integration projects.
  • Contribute to global sustainability initiatives alongside SMT Group colleagues across Europe, Africa and the USA.
