About this role

Two dog owners in the Stroud valleys, one in Minchinhampton and one in Cam, asked locally for a walker this week, and WoofWalk had nobody within ten kilometres of either. WoofWalk is a UK app where owners book and pay local walkers, and we are after up to three self-employed walkers between Stroud, Nailsworth, Stonehouse and Dursley, with Rodborough and Minchinhampton Commons, Woodchester Park and the canal towpath for walking.

There is no wage and there are no guaranteed bookings; this is self-employment. You run your own small walking business inside the app and you set the prices, the days and the area. Owners book and pay through the app and the money goes to your bank.

Pricing is up to you. Some 200 WoofWalk listings in October 2026 showed an hour's solo walk at between £12 and £28, with £18 in the middle. Those are other walkers' prices, not a rate from us.

Our charges

nothing to join and no commission during your first 14 days. Then WoofWalk takes 15% of each booking, falling to 10% once five of your own clients have joined. Clients you bring yourself pay the lower rate from their first booking. Your tax, your National Insurance and your insurance cover are arranged by you.

Send us your patch, your days and your price and we will draft your profile for you to approve. Walking dogs already? Bring your clients and run bookings, payments and GPS-tracked walks in one app.

Over 18, happy on the commons in any weather, and willing to meet each owner and dog first. Apply through Find a Job and say which valley or village you cover.
