About this role

Manor Church of England Academy is looking for a member of support staff to take a lead in responsibility for child protection issues in school whilst ensuring that appropriate arrangements for keeping children and young people safe are in place at the School / Academy in line with Trust and Statutory Guidance.

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of vulnerable children and young people? We are seeking a dedicated and proactive individual to join our dynamic Child Protection Team in our Academy.

This is an exciting opportunity to work directly with students who are subject to Child Protection Plans, Child in Need Plans, Early Help Plans, or those who are care-experienced/looked after. You’ll play a key role in helping them feel safe, supported, and able to thrive.

In this important role, you will work in partnership with a range of external agencies, including Social Workers, the Police, Youth Offending Services, and community organisations. Your work will be guided by our Trust Safeguarding Practice Model, "Think Family – Think Community," which is built on our core principles:

There will be a need for flexibility with post holders working on a number of cases and projects at any one time. There is potential that the post holder will need to attend meetings outside of the school day.
