About the Role

We are looking for a caring and reliable

Domestic Assistant to join our Specialist Dementia Care Home team. You will play a vital role in ensuring that the home provides a clean, safe and welcoming environment for people living with dementia.

Working as part of a dedicated team, you will help maintain high standards of cleanliness and infection prevention throughout the home while treating residents with dignity, respect and compassion.

Main Duties

• Cleaning bedrooms, bathrooms and communal areas.
• Ensuring infection prevention and control procedures are followed.
• Safe use and storage of cleaning equipment and materials.
• Supporting a homely, comfortable environment for residents.
• Working closely with care colleagues.
• Maintaining confidentiality and respecting residents' individual needs.

What We're Looking For

• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work independently and use initiative.
• An understanding of the needs of older people and people living with dementia.
• Previous cleaning experience is desirable but not essential as full training will be provided.
