Bridgend self-employed dog walker: pick your days, set your prices

WoofWalk is a booking app for dog owners across the UK. We're opening in Bridgend and want up to five self-employed walkers based around the town, including Pencoed, Brackla, Coity and Porthcawl, and around Newbridge Fields and Bryngarw Country Park.

To be clear, this is not a job with a wage, and bookings are not guaranteed. You run your own small walking business through the app: you pick your prices, days and patch, owners book and pay in the app, and the money goes to your bank.

Walkers on WoofWalk choose their own prices. Across about 200 listings in October 2026, an hour's solo walk is typically listed at £12 to £28, with £18 the middle price. These are other walkers' prices, not a wage.

Terms, plainly: joining is free. You pay no commission for your first 14 days, then 15% of each booking, which falls to 10% once five of your own clients join. Any client you bring yourself pays the lower rate from their first booking. Your own tax, National Insurance and insurance are your responsibility.

We'll help you get started

tell us your area, days and price and we'll draft your profile for you to check. Already walking dogs? Bring your own clients and run bookings, payments and GPS-tracked walks in one app.

You need to be over 18, happy walking in all weathers, and willing to meet each owner and dog first. Apply through Find a Job and tell us which part of Bridgend you can cover.
