About this role

Norbury Green Football Club is an FA-accredited grassroots football club and registered charity based in South London. We are looking for reliable, enthusiastic and confident youth football coaches to join our growing club for the 2026/27 season.

We have coaching opportunities across our youth teams, including U8s, U10s, U11s and potentially U13s and U15s, as well as our Development Centre for players aged 6–15.

Successful applicants will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging, age-appropriate football sessions, supporting player development and creating a safe, positive and enjoyable learning environment. Depending on experience, coaches may lead their own team or Development Centre group, or work alongside other coaches.

We are looking for individuals who are punctual, organised, confident working with children and able to communicate effectively with players, parents and colleagues. Coaches should be passionate about developing young players technically, tactically and socially, with a strong focus on enjoyment, confidence and individual progress rather than simply winning matches.

Previous experience working with children or coaching football is desirable, along with relevant coaching qualifications. An enhanced DBS check, safeguarding training and first aid qualification are also preferred. However, we welcome applications from university students, aspiring coaches and individuals looking to gain practical experience in grassroots football who are willing to undertake the necessary training and checks.

Coaching opportunities are primarily available on Saturdays for training and Sundays for matchdays. Applicants who can commit to one or both days are encouraged to apply.

Norbury Green FC is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. All successful applicants will be required to complete appropriate safer recruitment checks before taking up a regular coaching role.

Please include your relevant experience, qualifications and availability when applying.
