Phlebotomist

Key Responsibilities Perform phlebotomy safely, confidently and efficiently Collect blood samples for a range of laboratory investigations Accurately identify, label and handle patient samples in accordance with practice and laboratory procedures Follow all relevant infection prevention and control procedures Maintain accurate clinical documentation and patient records Provide a calm, professional and reassuring experience, particularly for patients who may be anxious or nervous about having blood taken Maintain a clean, safe and well-organised clinical environment Work effectively as part of the wider multidisciplinary practice team.

Working Pattern

Monday to Friday, 7:45am to 12:00pm The role involves working within 5-minute appointment slots, so confidence, efficiency and excellent practical skills are essential. The successful candidate will also need to be flexible to work across our Purley and Coulsdon surgery sites.
