The Opportunity
We are looking for a Senior Climate Data Analyst to work in the Scottish Climate Intelligence Service (SCIS) Programme at the Edinburgh Climate Change Institute.
Interested in being part of a project that supports delivery of climate action in Scotland?
Join the Climate Partnerships team at the Edinburgh Climate Change Institute to work on the SCIS programme where you will provide technical expertise and support to Scottish Local Authorities, and to local and national partners, to scale up and deliver climate action.
The role includes providing support to shape and track progress on delivery of local and national plans using an online platform (ClimateView); identifying and sharing best practice and helping to coordinate delivery across climate delivery partners; analysing Scotland-wide datasets to provide new insights for local and national government policy; and leading workstreams and helping to develop data services which improve delivery of climate action.
We'd also be interested in hearing from people with skills or experience in using data to capture economic and social impact, to help us to further embed the wider benefits of climate action into the SCIS programme.
You’ll be joining the Climate Partnerships team within ECCI; we are a team of 12+ working on various programmes to support delivery of climate action by private and public stakeholders across Scotland. SCIS is a partnership between ECCI and the Improvement Service.
This post is full-time (35 hours per week); however, we are open to considering part-time or flexible working patterns. We’re a hybrid working team, with an expectation of working at least two days a week in the office in Edinburgh, and with the option to work in the office more frequently.
