QTS is preferable – graduates with tutoring experience accepted

• 2- 20 hours per week – mic of onsite and online
• Support Targeted learners online and in person
• Multiple sites and provision, primary secondary and SEN schools and provisions

• Placements via Council
• beneficial if candidates can drive
• Support targeted learners who are presenting barriers to progress
• Long term and on-going roles – can fit around your full time role

There are multiple and varied Tutoring roles in and around the Maidstone area. Having access to a car will be greatly beneficial.

Tutor – Academic SEN – Primary and Secondary

• Have prior experience of teaching in a school context or extensive tutoring experience in Maths, English, Science, Humanities, IT, SEN, literacy, numeracy, or other
• Have prior experience of leading and rehearsing choirs where applicable.
• Desirable to have a good level of keyboard skills
• Understanding of and commitment to the ethos and values of the school/ provisions that you are supporting
• A respect for young people, as well as adults, that is demonstrable through positive attitudes and behaviour
• Inter-personal skills e.g. diplomacy, confidentiality, sensitivity to the needs of others
• High levels of organisation and efficiency
• Team skills e.g. willingness to work with others, provide support and learn from colleagues
• Ability to work under pressure and to meet deadlines
• A commitment to undertake relevant training and CPD
• A record of excellent attendance and punctuality
• To work flexibly, undertaking tasks as directed, commensurate with the grade of the post
