HAYS Education is recruiting an experienced Band 7/8 Occupational Therapist to join a specialist SEN school in West London supporting children and young people with complex needs.

The role

• Manage a complex caseload of pupils with a range of SEN, physical, sensory and developmental needs
• Complete specialist OT assessments and develop individualised intervention programmes
• Support pupils with sensory processing, fine and gross motor skills, functional independence and access to learning
• Provide advice around specialist equipment, positioning and environmental adaptations
• Work closely with Speech and Language Therapists, Physiotherapists, teachers, SEN staff, families and other professionals
• Contribute to EHCP assessments, reviews, reports and therapy outcomes
• Provide clinical guidance, supervision and support to junior therapists and therapy assistants
• Help develop and embed effective OT provision across the school

We are looking for

• HCPC registered Occupational Therapist
• Significant post-qualification OT experience, ideally at Band 7/8 level
• Experience working with children or young people with complex needs and/or SEN
• Strong assessment, clinical reasoning and multidisciplinary working skills
• Previous school, paediatric or specialist education experience is highly desirable
