Head of Financial Management

Job responsibilities Lead and inspire the Trusts Financial Management function, driving excellence in financial planning, performance, forecasting and business partnering across a £1bn NHS organisation. Shape strategic decision-making by providing expert financial leadership and trusted advice to Executive Directors, senior clinicians and operational leaders on key organisational priorities and investments. Drive financial sustainability and transformation, leading budget setting, financial recovery programmes, cost improvement initiatives and business case development that support high-quality patient care. Develop and lead high-performing teams, fostering a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, accountability and professional excellence. Provide assurance and strong financial governance, ensuring accurate statutory reporting, regulatory compliance and effective stewardship of public resources. Act as a senior finance leader for the organisation, deputising for the Executive Director of Finance and influencing decisions at the highest levels of the Trust.
