Senior Teaching Assistant & Midday Manager

Oxley Primary is a popular and successful school and we are extremely proud of our community ethos.We are seeking to appoint a Senior Teaching Assistant with midday manager responsibilities to join our fantastic school. The post will be for 31 hours per week. Based on their skills and experience, the successful candidate will be covering lessons, providing general learning support, 1:1 support, carrying out interventions, organising staff and activities at lunchtimes and supporting our pupil’s social and emotional wellbeing through our ELSA provision. The successful candidates will need to have:• NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Supporting Teaching and Learning • ELSA training qualification or equivalent • Experience of working with children in the primary range• Experience of first level line management.• High expectations of what children can achieve• Experience of supporting pupils with communication and emotional / behavioural difficulties• Flexibility and creativity• A positive approach and passion for engaging children in learning• An ability to develop good relationships with children, colleagues and parents• A strong work ethic and a high standards of professionalismWe are a friendly, supportive, forward thinking school with a strong “I Can” ethos and a history of excellent classroom practice.
