Compliance Manager- Mechanical & Electrical

Citizen is looking for a knowledgeable and proactive Compliance Manager to lead the effective management of domestic M&E compliance across our property portfolio. You will play a vital role in ensuring that mechanical, electrical, gas, water hygiene, fire safety and specialist building systems are inspected, maintained and operated in line with current legislation, regulations, approved codes of practice and organisational policies.

Key Responsibilities

Lead M&E compliance across Citizen’s property portfolio, ensuring systems are inspected, maintained and operated in line with relevant legislation, regulations and safety standards.

Develop and implement compliance strategies, maintenance programmes and investment plans to improve and maintain building systems.

Manage and develop the team, promoting high performance, technical expertise and a customer-focused approach.

Monitor compliance performance, maintain accurate records and reporting systems, and ensure corrective actions are completed.

Manage contractors, consultants, contracts and projects, ensuring works meet required standards, timescales and contractual obligations.

Oversee budgets, procurement and tendering, including the preparation of technical specifications for maintenance, installation and improvement works.

Identify and manage compliance risks, investigate failures and ensure effective health and safety arrangements, including maintaining the required Golden Thread of information for Higher-Risk Buildings.
