We are looking for an enthusiastic, dedicated Secondary Teaching Assistant to join a supportive secondary school team in Swindon. Responsibilities

• Support individual students or small groups in lessons to help them access the curriculum effectively.
• Assist pupils with additional learning needs (SEN), adapting tasks and resources where necessary to ensure inclusivity.
• Help maintain a positive, inclusive, and productive learning environment throughout the school day.
• Build strong, encouraging relationships with students to boost their confidence, motivation, and classroom engagement.
• Collaborate closely with class teachers and the SENDCo to monitor, track, and report on student progress.

Qualifications

Experience

Previous experience working with children or young people, whether in schools, youth work, sports coaching, or care settings.

Skills

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, combined with patience, adaptability, and strong classroom management support.

Attitude

A proactive, friendly, and reliable approach with a genuine desire to make a difference in young people's lives.

Requirements

An enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (or a willingness to apply for one).

Competitive Daily Rate

£92.56 - £95.00 per day, depending on your experience.

Work-Life Balance

Enjoy a consistent schedule of 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM, Monday to Friday, during term time.
