Consultant Physician in Respiratory and General Medicine

You will join a team of eight experienced Respiratory Consultants, working across inpatient wards and a dedicated Chest Clinic. The post includes responsibilities in both general respiratory medicine and Tuberculosis services.

Key responsibilities include

Leading the Tuberculosis (TB) Service, with a mix of TB and general respiratory clinics. Participating in the Respiratory Consultant of the Week rota, providing daily inpatient care (Monday to Friday) and clinical advice across hospital teams. Contributing to the acute general medical rota, managing general medical patients. Involvement in subspecialty areas, tailored to the needs of the department and the appointees interests. Consultants undertake inpatient work for one week in every eight, with the remaining weeks focused on outpatient and specialist respiratory clinics within the Chest Clinic.
