Your Time at Work

Your Responsibilities

As a Relief Security Officer you will be responsible for

Act as a highly visible security presence to protect colleagues, customers, stock, and company assets
Proactively identify and prevent theft, fraud, and stock loss
Support the delivery of store loss prevention strategies and contribute to shrinkage reduction
Monitor and respond appropriately to suspicious activity and security incidents
Conduct investigations and gather relevant information relating to theft and loss prevention incidents
Produce accurate and detailed incident reports using digital reporting systems
Build positive working relationships with store management and retail teams
Ensure all site security procedures and client requirements are followed at all times
Respond effectively to emergencies, incidents, and fire evacuation procedures
Conduct staff and contractor searches where required and authorised
Maintain professional standards of appearance, conduct, and customer service at all times

What We're Looking For

To be successful in this role, you will have

A valid SIA Security Guarding (SG) or Door Supervision (DS) licence
Experience identifying and preventing theft, fraud, and stock loss
Excellent communication and conflict management skills
A professional, smart, and highly presentable approach
Strong written skills with experience completing incident reports and documentation
Confidence using digital reporting systems and mobile technology
The ability to remain calm, observant, and decisive in challenging situations
