HGV Class 1 Driver

HGV Class 1 Drivers wanted in Chesterfield - Temp to Perm – Family run business

We are looking to recruit HGV Class 1 Drivers to join a well-established family run business in Chesterfield. Duties will include trunking to RDC's and NDC's nationwide. Drivers will be required to open a curtain side trailer at the RDC and wait to be loaded with pallets before returning to the depot, no handball.

Drivers will be expected to complete 2 trunk runs per shift.

All drivers will be expected to conduct daily vehicle safety inspections, comply with transport and health and safety regulations, complete all relevant paperwork accurately, and deliver a professional level of service at every customer location.

To be considered for this role you must have the following;

-A valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) Driving Licence

-A current Driver CPC qualification

-A valid Digital Tachograph Card

-No more than 6 penalty points on your licence

-A minimum of 12 months' Class 1 driving experience

-At least 180 days of commercial driving experience within a professional driving environment

We're seeking dependable and experienced drivers who can confidently take on the role from day one. Successful applicants will demonstrate a professional attitude, a strong commitment to safety and compliance, and the ability to provide excellent customer service while representing the business to the highest standard.

This is a full time temp to perm position

Working hours are Monday to Friday with start times being around 1800 each day.

Pay for this role is £17.00 per hour PAYE with 28 days holiday acrual per year.
