Mobile Vehicle Technician

We are recruiting on behalf of a leading plant and vehicle fleet maintenance company for the position of mobile vehicle technician in the Maidstone area. This is a full-time, permanent role offering a basic salary of £45,000, plus bonus, overtime, and benefits such as a company van, fuel card, mobile phone, and tablet. The successful Mobile Vehicle Technician will work 47.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with the foundation to work independently, servicing a diverse fleet across the Kent region.

Duties

• Conducting service repairs and maintenance on a broad range of vehicles, including small to heavy vehicles, primarily cars and ancillary equipment
• Performing visual inspections, adjustments, fluid changes, and replacements of worn components such as brake linings
• Stripping, fitting, and replacing vehicle components efficiently
• Ensuring all jobs are completed within specified deadlines and to high standards
• Maintaining accurate report-keeping in compliance with legal and internal requirements
• Applying good health and safety practices at all times
• Providing excellent customer service and effectively managing your workload in the field

Requirements

• Proven experience as a vehicle technician, ideally within the motor trade, with specialised knowledge of HGV, plant, or fleet maintenance
• Full UK driving licence required for this Mobile Vehicle Technician role
• Own set of tools
• Strong understanding of health and safety procedures
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and use initiative in problem-solving
