About this role
About you You may be a CCAB qualified accountant, finalist or professionally recognised equivalent with strong financial management experience, excellent analytical skills and the confidence to work with senior stakeholders. You will be someone who is highly organised, able to manage competing priorities and motivated by improving how finance services are delivered. We are particularly interested in candidates who bring curiosity, creativity and a practical approach to problem solving. If you enjoy challenging existing ways of working constructively, turning ideas into measurable improvements and using data to support better decisions, this could be a great opportunity for you. Experience of NHS finance, Power BI, automation or digital transformation would be valuable, but above all we are looking for someone with the enthusiasm and drive to make a difference. Our offer to you In return, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills in a supportive finance team, contribute to meaningful improvement across a major mental health Trust and help shape how financial management services evolve. We offer excellent learning and development opportunities, a collaborative working environment and the chance to build experience across both core finance and digital improvement work. If you are passionate about high-quality financial management, curious about digital innovation and keen to make a positive difference to how services are supported, we would be delighted to hear from you. Use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in job applications If you have used AI to support the preparation of your application, please briefly indicate how it was used within your supporting statement or application form. Please remember, your application is your opportunity to tell us about your skills, experience and motivation for the role. We encourage applicants to complete their application and supporting statement in their own words wherever possible. We recognise that AI tools can be helpful in supporting accessibility, and for improving spelling, grammar and structure. Applications that rely heavily on AI-generated content can become generic and fail to accurately reflect an applicant's individual experience. Applications that clearly demonstrate your own voice, reflections and experiences are often the most effective and help us better understand your suitability for the role. Please be aware that information provided in your application and supporting statement may be explored further during the selection process. It is important that all applications accurately represent your own knowledge, skills and experience.
