Temporary Maternity Cover – 9 months

We are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established and growing business based in Shrewsbury. Due to a period of maternity leave, they are now looking to appoint an Administrator to support their busy Projects and Operations teams. Whilst this is initially a temporary assignment, there is potential for longer-term opportunities within the business for the right person.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintaining accurate project files, records, correspondence, and documentation

• Preparing project reports, meeting minutes, and business correspondence

• Updating project trackers, registers, and administrative records

• Collating project documentation, records, and handover information

• Coordinating travel, accommodation, and logistics arrangements

• Managing bookings, amendments, and cancellations as required

• Placing authorised orders for materials, equipment, office supplies, and stationery

• Maintaining purchase records, order confirmations, and delivery information

• Following up with suppliers regarding outstanding orders and deliveries

• Liaising with Finance and Procurement teams to resolve purchasing and invoice queries

• Coordinating meetings, appointments, and project-related activities

• Responding to routine enquiries and supporting communication across departments

• Assisting with wider administrative duties as required

The successful candidate will have previous administrative experience and be highly organised, with excellent attention to detail and strong communication skills. You will be confident using Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook, Word, and Excel, and will ideally have experience of arranging travel or accommodation bookings, processing orders, maintaining accurate records, and liaising with suppliers. The role would suit someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, can manage multiple priorities, and takes pride in providing accurate and efficient administrative support.
