Horticultural Assistant

This is a practical, hands-on role working across the nursery and would suit someone who enjoys working outdoors and as part of a team. Previous horticultural experience would be beneficial, although training can be provided for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities

Keeping the nursery clean, tidy and presentable at all times.

Laying out and organising plant stock, ensuring plants are placed in the correct locations.

Maintaining plant health, including watering, pruning and feeding as required.

Loading and unloading lorries safely and efficiently.

Ensuring plants are correctly labelled and presented.

Handling and moving plant stock safely around the nursery.

Following all Company health and safety procedures and safe working practices.

Assisting colleagues across the nursery during busy periods.

Carrying out other reasonable duties around the nursery as required by management.
