About the Role

Working on a one-to-one basis, you will plan and deliver engaging swimming lessons that meet the individual needs of each swimmer. You will create a safe, positive, and encouraging environment where children can build confidence, develop their abilities, and enjoy being in the water.

As a Swimming Teacher, you will

  • Deliver high-quality one-to-one swimming lessons for disabled children.
  • Adapt your teaching approach to meet individual needs and abilities.
  • Build positive relationships with swimmers and their families.
  • Encourage confidence, independence, and enjoyment in the water.
  • Ensure lessons are delivered safely and in line with Swim England teaching principles and industry best practice.
  • Work as part of a supportive and inclusive team.

We're Looking For Someone Who

  • Holds a valid STA or SEQ Level 2 Swimming Teacher qualification.
  • Is passionate about inclusive swimming and supporting children with additional needs.
  • Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrates patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
  • Can deliver engaging and well-structured lessons tailored to individual swimmers.
  • Previous experience teaching disabled swimmers or children with additional needs is desirable, but not essential.

Why Work With Aspire?

  • Free Aspire Leisure Centre membership.
  • A friendly, supportive, and inclusive working environment.
  • The opportunity to make a meaningful difference to children's lives.
  • Ongoing opportunities for additional teaching hours as the programme develops.

If you are passionate about swimming and want to help disabled children develop confidence, independence, and a lifelong love of the water, we'd love to hear from you.
