About this role

Liaise with the Care Group Management Team and Directorate Managers to support effective medical workforce management; identify resourcing risks and develop project plans and strategies to improve efficiency and mitigate risk. Lead effective roster management, including oversight of temporary medical staffing, to ensure value for money and delivery of the Cost Productivity Improvement Programme (CIP) through reduced agency usage. Initiate and implement processes that improve efficiency and compliance, and reduce expenditure. Work collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders to deliver an excellent service to internal customers, providing support to other teams during periods of peak demand as required. Lead the management of sickness absence for the medical workforce, ensuring return-to-work discussions are completed and, where trigger points are met, formal action is initiated in a timely manner. This requires close working with Clinical Leads, Educational Supervisors, Directorate Managers and HR advisers. Work with colleagues to develop preventative and targeted support to address areas of high sickness absence, linking with workplace wellbeing initiatives to promote attendance (e.g., the Trusts Psychological Wellbeing Service). Manage the rota co-ordinators. Provide advice and guidance to the Care Group on resident doctor management, including induction. Support the Associate Chief Medical Officer with job planning. Work with the e-rostering team to support delivery of medical rostering across the Care Group.
