Intervenor (Fixed-Term until July 2027)

Provide dedicated, individualised support to a pupil with deafblindness, enabling them to access learning and participate in school life.

Develop the pupil’s communication skills and understanding of their environment, supporting them to make choices and express their preferences.

Work closely with the classroom teacher, parents, carers and other professionals to deliver personalised learning and support.

Adapt learning resources and follow individual learning plans and specialist recommendations.

Promote independence in daily activities, including mobility, feeding and personal care.

Support the pupil during classroom activities and community-based experiences.

Maintain communication between home and school, keeping daily records of activities and progress.

Contribute to progress reviews, assessments and meetings with parents and professionals.
